Hey everyone and welcome back to more Railroads Online! Today we are back with @darealkosmo attempting to run a double locomotive MEGA train in the new physics update! This is the first time we’ve attempted a double locomotive with any of the larger engines and based on the load calculations we should be able to pull this train up the entire mountain to deliver goods to the iron mine!

10.04.2023i wonder if they r going to put the shaw in this game
Raymond Hatton
10.04.2023maybe a peice of rolling stock between the engines?
Stan lee Patterson
05.04.2023Welcome to mountain railroading. Can also put all your power in middle of train. That way you can take first half to top of hill easy. Then bring second half up. No need for side tracks
Ghost_Chicken023
05.04.2023You should try with one in front and back next time 😊
Geoffrey Heppner
05.04.2023Can you please fix your track already and continue on to the next destination.
Rimvydas Pabalys
05.04.2023Since I am playing this game solo, I always use Heisler as a second locomotive. That way I do not need to worry about locomotives pulling apart.

05.04.2023I just had a thought, could you imagine if they expanded the game to the point that they had the UP Big Boy?

05.04.2023Hey cosmo! Any chance we could get a shay in the game? Maybe a class B or C?

05.04.2023New Game update the Day after this Video came out:
new build 220207-BETA
-adjusted couplers/draw bars to improve coupler stability when going around tight curves
CaptainFlippy
05.04.2023mby its time to do maintenance episode?! especially when you have so much sharp corners on the line to the ironmine and put some lights… just basic maintenance and line upgrades episode
Jose Manuel De La Jara Moreno
05.04.2023Yea but what if the eureka have no tender? And you link it to the cokee mogul
Logan Bingham
02.04.2023The plow on the Cook mobile keeps pushing on the back of the eureka so it keeps the link that's why whenever you turn it breaks the link or the Cook mobile pushes too hard or the eureka pulls too hard
BigBadBroccoli
02.04.2023By the way Kan, you don’t have to spamclick on the loading cranes, just click once and hold until it starts loading. Works with trees too!

02.04.2023I think they need to introduce the Shay as a cheaper geared locomotive if hills are going to be such an issue and Betsy got nerfed.
Aidan Templeton
02.04.2023You should have used the sander. It reduces any slip which usually happens when you have low speed and full reg (although you usually only visually notice it with geared locos). It might have made a difference, but the real killer is the draw bar couplers that the Eureka, Mogul and C70 all have. You don’t have the disconnecting issues as bad when using other locomotives on double headers. The latest beta update released today is also supposed to help this problem too.
Dreamthyf
02.04.2023I have the disconnect issue qith the mogul and empty cars as well as this double header issue. I do not have the same issue with the Eureka's front connector. I think it's a bug specific to the mogul.

02.04.2023Just found out about this game and I'm truly in love with it. Could anyone tell me how many people can play together in one game
Collin Black
02.04.2023Try having a locomotive at each end. That will work on big train's.
kleetus92
02.04.2023295,000 pounds for that whole train? Man that's something… that's literally like 1.5 present day hopper cars totally loaded. The SD70ACe diesel locomotive by itself is 428,000 pounds.
James Edwards
02.04.2023One word fix your track
Elite
02.04.2023Kan I think you need to put the other locomotive to the back maybe that could help?😅
Matthew Blessing
31.03.2023Going up hills you have keep I on your fuel
Duo Maxwell
31.03.2023I clicked the thumbnail just to comment, however, I had to double and triple check before clicking because I thought it was back to the future related because the train in the thumbnail is the same type of train used in back to the future 3

31.03.2023Nice! ‘Double heading’ engines as the call it, Is really cool!

31.03.2023Nice to see you guys back doing a video together! Is there another episode of scrap mechanic survival I really enjoyed that series?

31.03.2023Is the climax/heisler a 0-4-4-0 like how does that work
Lord Sheriff Takari
31.03.2023breaking links is Railroading!
thought the Mogul should be the one on point with Eureka behind it.
next step is a pair of Class 70's and all the cars you can fill to the mine.
and of course, the video showing all the needed Track Work to remove those kinks and FINALLY install that Wye you've been talking about for the last 10 episodes!!!
Z Moss
31.03.2023You should look into switch backs to climb step terrain. Fallbrook PA Railway utilized one to reach coal mines 👍👍
Deathspark21
31.03.2023Probably should've had a train in front and one in the back
Charles Webber
31.03.2023I think the bar has to go in the square not on top
William Miller
31.03.2023With each turn will stress the link until it breaks so when you have a sharp turn it will break the link this happens with the steamers.
blankeplaeTraceR
28.03.2023Uh, okay for information in it your verb use is different the front train should have a low but, keep up pull like say 56% and the middle train can be able to use power to differentiate so even before the back train has to do, "a 4 or 8 decimal difference in power that rushes in between with train links if ever a 3rd your last should be pulled and the second engine is pulling the front.
The Trainspotter From Tauranga
28.03.2023Two locomotives together at the front of a train is called a 'double header'.
Bill Wiltfong
28.03.2023The experiment is going to work fine once you get around to fixing the track, I'm sure of it.
Lord of cats
28.03.2023The devs need to make it so you can install a better links
Trey Register
28.03.2023The “electric generator” for the lights is called a Dynamo
Braxton Clark
28.03.2023Only dieasl locomotives have turbo chargers
Karagianis
28.03.2023You know, if Tenders can go walkabouts like that it might be an idea to let players buy replacement tenders without havign to rebuy the entire locomotive.
Karagianis
28.03.2023It occurs to me that if you put the 2nd engine on the back of the train that could work without all the decoupling issues.
That's a thing with steep grades in the UK, they're called bank engines. The main loco pulls from the front untill they reach the hill. Then a bank engine is called which buffers upto the rear of the train and pushes from behind to help. It's not even coupled to the train, so once they reach the top the train just drives off, while the banker reverses back down the hill to wait for the next train.
JAlly Farms
28.03.2023my guess is that his engine is more powerful than yours. and/or a buggy
JAlly Farms
28.03.2023I see sparks shooting out of the other engine
Michael Main
26.03.2023I bet the eureka without the tender car wouldn't have snapped the link
Quarren Everett
26.03.2023Hey wanna collab I havent played since before Christmas and stuff but would love to play and I might have a friend that could join
John Deer
26.03.2023200 horse power for the Eureka
Trainlover
26.03.2023I love how every Eureka has derailed at least once
Mario Maniac
26.03.2023Ok so I looked it up, most shunting locomotives have around 400 horsepower so just stick a good ol LS3 small-block in it and be on your way 😆
(in reality the locomotive probably has oodles of torque and could most likely beat it in a tug of war with ease so don't go saying "well AkSHuaLLy" in the replies please 🙂)

26.03.2023Can you send me the save file plz
4x4 RC off-road tractors
26.03.2023you know it'll be nice to have in the game too if you're just doing a single player is to have control of all the cards trailers brakes on your main control is that way so one person can control all those breaks or out the train going downhill out of control cuz it's really fun going from the Caboose and running all the way down the train just try to stop it before you derail by yourself
