Hey everyone and welcome back to more Railroads Online! Today we are back with @DapperEcho in his server to run a triple header train to the coal mine! This train is a super heavy train running up a 4% grade so we needed all 3 engines to be able to pull this mega load!

13.04.2023I don't know where you've been seeing that at but up here in wisconsin along the Mississippi all of the lumber is covered.

12.04.2023I'm just imagining Kan when the game fully releases, instead of buying a large loco, just buys a bunch of small locos and runs together to fill the same role.

12.04.2023I’d love to see the massive train a Betsy quadruple header could haul lol
TheCat aliasTNT2k
12.04.2023The optimal ratio should be 30 rails and 60 beams if the coal mine needs 2 beams per rail. You would have all 23 cars loaded completely.

12.04.2023i prefer your world but all these different routes is cool, you got to make some stairs

12.04.2023I will admit kAN, the map Dapper is playing on is quite a fun map. If you ever did want to do a review of a map or have fun on other maps, this map is a great one to do some runs.

12.04.202336:26 quick kan open the water tanks fill em up! Cover the firewood! And make sure to keep boiler temp!

12.04.2023I still have my O scale trains I used to put around the family Christmas tree when I was young. Collected some more track pieces from various garage sales and other hobbyists over the years. Been sitting in my closet for many years. Tracks could use a bit of shinning but the loco's should still work. They don't have the horn feature but a drop or two of fluid and they will huff and puff.

12.04.2023you said ratio so many times some people don't even know what i means

12.04.2023with the signs that are coming in, this kind of setup would look great.
Also, here's how the math works. the inside is shorter with the same height. and steepness = height/distance. therefore, it is steeper.
It could be that it was procedurally generated one time by the devs and now everyone gets that map.

11.04.2023I love how the train was shimmying down the track. It's like the whole train had an uncontrollable tick.

11.04.2023look up Dawlish, Devon in th UK they have had to rebuild the sea wall for the train tracks as they kept washing away most years
Chaos X Otaku
11.04.2023i'm building a model railway with a helix & because the inside rail on the helix is steeper we had to make it a down line only
Ross
11.04.2023You need to step up your game, Dappers got you beat

11.04.2023i ask the devs & apparently we're getting Y switches

11.04.2023dancing trains are weird lol

11.04.2023at least you got the phrase right… … …

11.04.2023Gotta say this was a rather violent looking run with how jittery and jumpy the whole train was.

09.04.2023i think the trees are generated because when i go up the iron mine on my map i see like this line where trees are missing and i swear i never cut one down there

09.04.2023Can you please name a train “Tahlia”

09.04.2023Kan i hope you start a new series with all your friends in a new world , it will be lit and fun

09.04.2023An easier way to explain the steep inner rail thing might be to visualize the up angle of spiral stairs and the fact that often for stairs going around a small center 3 or 4 steps Sometimes depending seem like they almost drop straight down while the outside is more regular. Using this reference since most people have probably encountered stairs and maybe even spiral ones.

09.04.2023As much as I don't like the constant bridges everywhere I have to admit that's a damn impressive map <3

09.04.2023This game adapted the broken multiplayer physics from Scrap Mechanic.

09.04.2023The whole rail thing that one has to be longer is correct

09.04.2023The jittering of that train is scary lmao

06.04.2023This popped up in my suggestion and I'm glad it did. This game looks so good I need a new gaming PC

06.04.202337:38 this is exactly the reason why Mercedes F1 cars are gray and are called the Silver Arrows: they used to not paint their F1 cars to save on weight and be faster so they just had the color of bare metal. That color just kinda stuck when they went back to actually applying paint to their F1 cars and now it’s just more of a tradition.

06.04.2023I would state that the most powerful loco should be 1st and the weakest in the consist last otherwise you get the scenario of strongest pushing the weakest causing all sorts of stuttered movement..
zachariah hood
06.04.2023u should've tried 2 of the trains pulling and one of them pushing
Cyphi
06.04.2023You should put strongest loco in the front, that would help with constant jumping.
Mario XLR8
06.04.2023the same rail tracks could`ve been existed in kAN`s server too, but someone had to had perfectionist actions, wasting 30 minutes of 1 mile of track :))))

06.04.2023I wonder if the reason trees reappear because they are just growing

06.04.2023Wondering what would happen if you throw the 3rd engine into reverse as the first two are pulling?? Steamer tug-of-war??

04.04.2023I’ve been binging this series for a week or so, this is the only time I’ve had to skip an episode because the multiplayer physics bug is making me queasy.

04.04.2023My girlfriend asked me what I was watching. I said I was watching a couple guys running a train and dropping loads. She stood up and walked out.

04.04.2023something that might be an interesting strategy is to use a geared engine to pull up a steep hill and just use a fast standard locomotive for most of the distance on a 0% grade
jeff richman
04.04.2023I drive a 2 for gauge steam engine and that pushes through spring loaded switches, the reasioj I think that they don’t want to add it is because it wasn’t common back the
Riddle
04.04.2023the math talk at 21:00 reminds me of a talk I had about how a bicycle's front tire always travels a further distance than the back unless you go in a perfect line, because the front tire is making larger turns and the back takes a shortcut to keep up. This also means that the front tire is spinning faster overall. So, Just like how the inside rail is steeper on a inclined turn, the tires on a bike don't travel at the same speed, even though they are fixed to the same frame
jamesTBurke
04.04.2023It all depends on where they are hauling for if they covered it
Zach T.
04.04.2023All the tressel bridges going everywhere is very unrealistic.
