Jamie Kamihachi
20.10.2022Will things like airports or ferry ports be in the game? Even if I can’t build them they are things real railroads connect to.
Andy Hutchinson
20.10.2022I got to 1.46 in the video thinking this looks interesting, then saw the map of the UK with a bridge or tunnel from Stranraer to Bangor across the Irish Sea. Boris Johnson suggested this a while back and was basically laughed at by everyone who knew what they were talking about when it came to civil engineering. That one small thing has me thinking how realistic this will really be. Think it's going to take a few "watch the playthrough" videos to maybe see if it's worth a punt.

20.10.2022This game is the only way the U.S. will ever see a proper, highspeed rail network that covers the entire country.
EDIT: To add context for current replies. Several factors why a HSR will never happen.
1. The shear size of the country alone eliminates the chance of ever having country wide HSR. The cost would be astronomical.
2. The airline, auto, and oil industries would lobby to stop it. Even regional HSR are having difficulties getting built.
3. The U.S. is a "car" country since the 1950s when President Eisenhower signed the National Interstate System bill to build 41000 miles (66000 km) of highway across the entire country. in 1950s money this cost $25 billion USD ($268 billion USD today)

20.10.2022Can't wait for your series or livestrram with this game Skye!

20.10.2022Not In My Back Yard Rails? Why not call it YIMBY Rails?
vineheart01
20.10.2022So engineers cant be bothered to figure out the World Wide Railsystem, instead they release a "game" so some unknown super genius does it for them.
Jokes aside thats all i can think of lol….
MrHatman26
20.10.2022I may being stupid here… But I don't get it…?
Why not just play Transport Fever or any other transport simulator? (Heck, why not Cities: Skylines or even Cities In Motion?)
All I see this has going for itself is it being on a 2D map of Earth.
Maybe I just like watching the trains in 3D or maybe (and probably) I'm just being stupid and / pedantic.
Starby Ray
20.10.2022Now this look very interesting to my inner Nerd :0) thanks for bringing this into the spotlight Skye!!

19.10.2022Here's a project to make in this game: the entire European commuter and highspeed rail network
Will this be available in your gamestore?

19.10.2022Ah yes my transcontinental express line
JoIsALegend
19.10.2022Would it lag if you made train lines for the entire planet?

19.10.2022I would love to watch you do some videos about this game!
Ag Me
19.10.2022I went to the steam page and saw the release date and it said January 26 2021 and I freaked out and was like WTF ONE FREAKING YEAR TILL THE RELEASE!?????
And then i realized we already are in 2021 lmao
bduddy55555
19.10.2022Looks like an interesting idea. Just hope the simulation is robust enough so it's not just drawing train lines on a map with lines on it.
LordOfJulyGaming
19.10.2022This is releasing on Australia Day- therefore its gotta be all about building up Australia's train networks 😛 I'm keen lol

18.10.2022Its now in my wishlist. This will be a great year!

18.10.2022This is definetly the game i've been waiting for 😀, next i would like a city builder a long the same line, where you have either the whole earth or a made up planet and you can build your city anywhere and interact with other players cities.

18.10.2022Woohoo! It showed Dortmund Lütgendortmund and Bochum Langendreer. I live in the first and have worked in the second. 😀
Unfortunately I don't like transportation games. But it got me really hyped for a cpl of seconds, so I had to write a comment.
Just don't mind me.

18.10.2022I like combey:)

14.10.2022Is there any information about people traffic (idk how it called right) simulation? Or villages will produce the same amount of people as in cities?
Spartan117ZM -
14.10.2022Looks good – I am curious about realism though – at least from an engineering perspective. For example, I’m curious to see if the game will take into account land formations that would be difficult to build through.
Also, I’d love to see connections come in for existing airports and other major transport centers.
And, I wonder if the game will come with some pre-built networks (or at least workshop support to upload them), as I’d love to expand on the existing network in the London Underground or the Sydney Metro, for example, without having to build the whole thing myself.
Michael MacDonell
14.10.2022Trains……World…..Maps………Trains……….I think I just broke myself.

Laura Kruithof
14.10.2022This is like the PERFECT solution for the struggling in Transport Fever (1 as wel as 2) with importing real world data. Im so excited. I will never try that in TF again and just play this game if I want real world data, love it!
Dick Metselaar
14.10.2022bah, it's not for Mac…
